The story behind the SCREAMLINER
The Screamliner returns for a special run in 2026 as part of the Mainline assortment. This release fits perfectly into the Rod Squad series theme. Larry Wood designed this classic hot rod with an aggressive and sleek look that stands out on any shelf or track. The car features a distinct matte black paint job that gives it a serious street racing vibe. You can spot intricate pinstriping details along the sides, adding character to the bodywork. Collectors love how this model captures the spirit of early speed culture with its exposed engine components and low stance. While standard Mainline cars are easy to find in stores, unique paint treatments like this matte finish make specific versions more desirable over time.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model comes in a classic 1/64 scale size that fits well in most display cases or toy tracks. The body is made of plastic material rather than metal, which keeps the weight down while maintaining durability for play and handling. It ships with specific color variations including black bases paired with matte black bodies. Some versions feature gold interiors while others have chromed cabin details to mix things up visually. These parts work together nicely under bright display lights. The combination of durable plastic construction and eye-catching paint schemes makes this a solid addition for anyone building out their Rod Squad collection.
