The story behind the Ford F-150 Lightning Custom
The Ford F-150 Lightning Custom brings a futuristic twist to the classic pickup truck silhouette in its 2023 release. Part of the HW Hot Trucks series within the Mainline assortment, this diecast model captures the electric muscle aesthetic with a low-slung profile and aggressive stance. Designed by Sonny Fisher, the car features distinctive white-rimmed wheels that contrast sharply against the deep blue bodywork. It sits at 1/64 scale, making it compact enough for display shelves yet detailed enough to appreciate up close. The combination of chrome interior accents and clear windows adds depth to the cabin view. As a Mainline release, this truck is accessible to new collectors but still holds value among enthusiasts who track specific series completions.
Materials, colors and value
Constructed from plastic body materials, this diecast model features a layered blue color scheme including standard blue, dark blue, and metalflake dark blue finishes. The interior showcases chrome details paired with clear window panels for visibility. Set on black base parts, the car maintains a sturdy build typical of Mainline releases at 1/64 scale. While not a limited edition or Treasure Hunt variant, these trucks are often sought after by series collectors looking to complete their HW Hot Trucks sets from 2023.
