The story behind the Tanknator
The Tanknator stands out as a bold entry in the 2024 Mainline collection. As part of the HW Ride-Ons series designed by Ryu Asada, this model captures imagination with its unique tank-like styling and playful proportions. It is not just another car on the shelf but rather a statement piece for anyone who appreciates unconventional designs. Being classified under the regular Mainline assortment means it was produced in standard quantities without special rarity markers like flame logos or Spectraflame finishes. Collectors often seek this release because of its distinctive look and fun concept that breaks away from traditional vehicle themes.
Materials, colors and value
Crafted entirely from plastic, the Tanknator features a vibrant red body accented with matte red detailing and complemented by blue interior elements. The base is black across all variations, providing contrast to the colorful upper sections. Measuring at a scale of 1/64, it fits perfectly within standard Hot Wheels display setups. While specific color combinations may vary slightly between packings, each version maintains consistency in material quality and design integrity. Its collectibility stems more from its novelty than scarcity.
