The story behind the FISH'D & CHIP'D
The FISH'D & CHIP'D from the 2025 HW DESIGNED BY series brings a delicious twist to classic American automotive history. This model represents the iconic 1947 Hudson Jet, a car famous for its streamlined shape and innovative engineering at the time. As part of the Mainline collection, this version stands out as a special Treasure Hunt release. These limited editions are mixed into standard production runs, making them exciting finds for anyone opening packs or hunting through stock. The two-tone brown and tan paint job pays homage to retro diner culture while keeping that original 50s elegance intact.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model features a metal body construction that gives it a satisfying weight in your hand. It comes painted in rich shades of brown with contrasting tan lower panels, complemented by blue tinted windows and gold accents on the interior details. The base is plated for extra shine under display lights. Collectors often value Treasure Hunts higher than regular Mainline cars due to their limited availability during production runs.
Questions about the FISH'D & CHIP'D
How do I know if my FISH'D & CHIP'D is a real Treasure Hunt?+
Look for the small red flame logo sticker on the packaging near the barcode area. This symbol indicates it belongs to the exclusive Treasure Hunt subset of releases within that year's Mainline assortment.
Is FISH'D & CHIP'D considered rare among Hot Wheels collectors?+
Yes, because only a small percentage of any given pack run contains a Treasure Hunt model. Finding one usually means you were lucky with that specific package selection out of many thousands produced.
What makes this particular Hudson Jet design unique compared to others?+
Its combination of vintage styling cues like dual headlights and split grille, paired with modern Hot Wheels detailing such as custom vents on the doors, creates a distinctive look unlike standard factory finishes.
