The story behind the FIAT 500C
The FIAT 500C returns in a bold new guise for the 2026 Mainline lineup as part of the Drag Racers series. Designed by Phil Riehlman, this model transforms the classic Italian city car into a fierce drag racing machine with exaggerated rear tires and a large spoiler. It features a striking Metalflake Purple finish that catches the light beautifully on every angle. The design includes chrome details like the massive supercharger sticking out of the hood and the window trim to enhance its aggressive stance. Yellow interior pieces provide a sharp contrast against the dark purple exterior, giving it a unique visual pop. This release captures the spirit of hot rod culture while maintaining the iconic curves collectors love.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model is built in 1/64 scale using durable plastic construction typical for standard Mainline releases. The body sports a vibrant Metalflake Purple paint job accented by pink pinstriping and Hot Wheels Drag Team logos on the doors. Chrome windows add shine, while the black base complements the dark color scheme perfectly. The yellow interior stands out as an interesting design choice against the purple shell. Collectors often look for this car because of its distinct styling within the 2026 series. It remains accessible since it is a standard Mainline release rather than a limited edition variant.
