The story behind the Hot Wheels High
The Hot Wheels High model brings a unique perspective to the standard lineup by focusing on transportation rather than traditional muscle or sports cars. Released in 2023 as part of the HW Metro series, this bus design is built for hauling fellow diecast vehicles along with passengers. Designed by Jun Imai, it features a distinct yellow body that stands out vividly against its orange base trim and bold graphics. The side art celebrates the brand with Hot Wheels Track Team logos, emphasizing speed even on public transit. This 1/64 scale model adds variety to Mainline collections by showcasing how everyday vehicles fit into racing culture. Its sturdy metal construction ensures durability during play or display.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast vehicle features a solid metal body painted in bright yellow with contrasting orange base plastic accents. The interior is finished in shiny chrome, visible through the tinted smoke windows that run along the sides and front windshield. It captures a stylized look typical of modern Hot Wheels designs while maintaining classic collectible appeal. Since it belongs to the standard Mainline assortment, it remains accessible for most shoppers. Collectors often seek these models primarily to complete specific years or series themes rather than for investment value.
